EYFS Unit 10 Comparing Numbers

This unit has 8 manageable steps for comparing and ordering numbers.

The Manageable steps will support your planning to help the children really secure a deep understanding of comparing and ordering groups and numbers.

For each manageable step there is a suggested 'what it is' and often a sentence you and the children may want to say to engage with the learning.

There is a 'what it is not' where Colin the CanDo Caribou or Coco the CanDo Cockatoo have a misconception for you to address. This is also available as a short video. (Videos will be available two weeks before the unit is due to be taught.)

The unit is based on the theme 'Creatures Great and Small' and uses the book The Snatchabook by Helen Docherty as a possible stimulus for contious provision activities, but obviously the suggestions can be altered to fit your theme.
